What I was saying is that there are celebs like Jackson who seem to think that their unhappy childhoods are excuses for totally unacceptable behaviour - forever. He was 50 years old and still blaming his childhood for his behaviour. Huge numbers of people are suffering the horrific psycological results of child abuse; are trying to deal with deep depression from wounds, physical, emotional and psycological, inflicted upont them as kids and who can't just call up the best therapists, or afford the meds they need and yet, who continue to struggle through it all anyway and do the best they can.
I have loved-ones who are very close to me who suffer from deep depression but if all one says is, "my childhood was horrible," then there isnt' much hope for recovery. A person needs help and needs to take help that's offered. There's nothing indicating that Jackson did that but there's lots of information that says he fought people who loved him who tried to get him help and insisted on getting his own way in following a path to complete self-destruction blaming his childhood all the way down.
And just to make it totally clear, I'm not talking about people with major psychosis who often aren't in touch with reality. They often can't take help that's offered because that's one of the features of the disease. There's absolutely no evidence that suggests that Jackson was suffering from a psychosis.
