The fat fluffy orange cat is Sam, he is HUGE. He is also very chatty, as you can see on the video. Yes, those cats are considered their children. You should
see the amount of cat food they have to buy!

He just got really old and was in really bad shape--he was 17. He lost a bunch of weight and was going down hill really fast. He puking, had diarrea and seemed
to being meowing in pain alot. So, we had him put down. We knew he wasn't going to live much longer anyway. Hard decision but it was the right thing to do.

Well, he certainly looked good in the last year of his life.
Emily is nineteen and is still in fairly good shape but I watch her like a hawk. Your Signature ... "Do the best job you can seeing the truth, and then do the best job you can telling the truth. Well, Beau has peed a few times in the house, lately, but since he seems otherwise ok, I attribute it to his age. It could be anything. Keep us posted,
sweetie.

thanks, vet says it could be his age too........he recently did blood tests, his kidney's aren't great, but it could be just a new habit.......he seems fine otherwise.....
Karent, how big is your place and do your babies sleep with you? "The tears of the world are a constant quality. For each one who begins to

Well, what a PERSONAL question...
It's a small two bedroom condo, but, as you've seen, the dogs aren't exactly large and all four of them are usually quiet and laid-back, so
it's not a problem.

JT has just started peeing on the carpet....past few days.....your kitties ever do that Karen? Since there's already so much wrong with him, I worry. I just called the vets service...........Hando, my cat was peeing on the rug and it turned out she had a bladder stone ......... $3000+ later, the stone is gone but now she has diabetes and has to get a shot twice a day. I've had cats all my life and without a doubt, she's the most wonderful one but she's also been the most expensive in terms of her health. I feel very bad for people who have a beloved pet who needs medical attention and can't afford it. I wouldn't do crazy things to try to prolong her life but when she can have an operation or get her insulin shots and live a perfectly normal life, it would break my heart if I couldn't afford to do it. Here she is, Minou:

Well, vet seems to think it's just old age, he was just in for a complete physical and blood tests, but we'll keep watching.....
I know Evany, they get to be so expensive, but hey, if we had kids, it would've been more, so..... Lurker, your babies are bootiful as is Evany's...... "The tears of the world are a constant quality. For each one who begins to

When I was a kid I had a Manx cat, like the pictured below, tailless and extremely long hind legs. I named him Stinky because of his flatulence problem, but
he was cool otherwise. His long hind legs made him a very adept jumper, he'd be on the kitchen floor one second and atop the fridge the next. Like the
one in the pic, who probably jumped straight up to reach the door top, he was an amazing cat.

Evay, Minou looks exactly like my late Mom's beloved cat, "Kitsy." "Kitsy" was as bratty as she was beautiful. VERY particular about
who she allowed to touch her. My sister couldn't get near her, but she liked me. Very intelligent animal.
Hando, how are you combating the urine smell?? I use "Nature's Miracle" to clean it up and when I vacuem, I spray Fabreze: Pet Odor all over
the carpet. Seems to work ok. Fortunately, Beau's 'episodes' are not daily, maybe once a week.... so far. Your Signature ... My son and his family put their golden retriever Phoenix at Camp Bow Wow for the duration of their vacation and Camp Bow Wow has a webcam so they can check up
on him:
http://bowwow84.viewmydog.com/jpglogin.htm Not that they're worriers, Phoenix loves going to "camp", but it's good that you can see how they're doing. It's never too late to have a happy childhood... |
