Plus, if they follow her advice, all elected officials will service roughly 2/3 of their terms and then quit to avoid being lame ducks. Even those that could seek re-election!

I figure if she's not gonna stay out of the limelight, the least I can do is get some laughs out of it, heh. DS had amusing commentary plus a segment where Jason Jones went to Alaska for her speech - hilarious!

Colbert had a hat w/ random phrases he would pull out and 'string together' - to simulate the Palin method of speech-writing.

Conan's skit w/ Shatner was priceless!

I watched her entire speech this morning, and how people can find her intelligent or articulate or profound is beyond me. She makes no sense!! She just strings together homilys and key words and phrases.

Did anybody see Conan last night?? He got William Shatner to come out and read part of her speech, word for word, the part in the beginning about Denali, the great one etc, but he had a stand-up bass and a bongo player to accompany him, and he read it as poetry. Bad...

I didn't notice the "makin", but I mentioned on another board that she is still saying "ya" instead of "you". Here's the full quote:

I found it really funny when CNN added a headline to their Breaking News banner that said something about Palin asking the media to "Quit makin' things up". They actually used "Makin'".

I saw part of a speech Palin made this morning (before quickly changing the channel), and she's still saying "ya" for "you" at certain points.

I'm sure she has watched herself on TV many times... hasn't she noticed that she's the only one mispronouncing that simple word?

Maybe she thinks we, the public, find it endearing.

I'm pretty sure when the Alaskan voters put her in office she wasn't presented with a to-do list. What she was suppose to accomplish was governing her state for 4 years, which she obviously didn't accomplish.

This is just breaking at Politico...nobody else has corroborated it yet but they're reporting it live on MSNBC.

Also Breaking - MSNBC is now reporting she is going to be stepping down in a month and not even completing the term she is in, handing over the governorship to the lieutenant governor who will be sworn in at month's end.
