I really liked it. There wasn't much dialogue but it was well made and the photography was great. There are lots gunfights--its not a movie to go to if you want to relax.

Johnny was HOT, and he did a great job protraying Dillinger.

I have to say, I loved it......loved the look of it, the feel of it and frankly, I thought the other crooks were inconsequential......its the story of an end of an era.and John Dillinger, not the other guys. I had no problem with any of this pic really.

And I do think they got MC cause she looks so much like Myrna Loy......lol

It's not a movie about a story.....sometimes the story takes a back seat too.

He was great. And...

I really enjoyed it. The only thing missing was some sharp dialogue. There was some really good opportunities for it too.

Besides Depp & the film's historical setting, the Director was a major part of the appeal of seeing PE. See it & let's hear what you think.

Sometimes I go to a film just to see the director's style and I happen to love Michael Mann's style. I"m sure I"ll like it......I like almost everything he does.

I saw Public Enemies today.

There are No spoilers contained in the following:

The first half hour or so of Public Enemies is a hodge-podge overburdened by Director's Mann's signature stylization. That wouldn't have necessarily been a bad thing except that it does nothing to get you involved in any story. Weak characterization leads to the conclusion that somehow the filmmakers assumed audiences 'know' the story. As a result, we get...
