That was pretty cool. I get the feeling the Senate was impressed by the way Franken handled himself during the entire court process - he certainly came out the more "senatorial" looking of the two of them.

And neat that he brought Mondale with him, and Amy Klobuchar.

ETA: Anyone else besides me view that video and think "Stuart Smalley takes the Senate by Storm!"?

Reid & Pelosi consistently demonstrate everything that is wrong with the Democrats. The Republicans had no problem flexing their majority muscles & bulldozing their way through Congress, why in the hell are the Dems. so disorganized and timid?

Obama and the Congressional Dems need to get over their yearning for bi- and post-partisanship.... that *ship* has sailed, ladies and gentlemen, and there are no Republicans on board. It may be impolite and unseemly to you, but We The People don't care that conservatives refuse to cooperate with your legislative agenda and expect you to move forward with the mandate you have so resoundingly been handed. The consequences will be ugly should you fail to lead. But no pressure...
